The Sleep Starter Guide
Your baby is fighting sleep. We can fix that in 7 nights.
The Baby Notte Method, the same approach we used to get our 4-month-old sleeping through the night, in a 30-page guide written by parents for parents. Real method. No fluff. $27.
Instant download · 7-day money back · Built by parents in Toronto
You know this scene.
It's 3:14am. Your baby is screaming. You're pacing the hallway with them on your shoulder, trying not to wake your partner. You've been awake since 11:30pm, then 1:00am, then now. You're operating on broken-sleep math: maybe four hours total, in chunks.
You've already googled everything. "How to get my baby to sleep through the night." "Baby sleep training without crying." "Is it normal for a 6-month-old to still wake up every 2 hours." You've read the Reddit threads, the mommy blogs, the conflicting advice from your mother, your pediatrician, your friend who swears by some app.
Nothing works. Or things work for three nights, then fall apart. You're starting to wonder if you're doing something wrong, or if your baby is just "one of those babies."
Your baby is not one of those babies. They just haven't been taught the skill of falling asleep on their own. That's all sleep training really is: teaching that one skill. The method matters. Vague advice doesn't work. A real method does.
Why this guide is different.
We're not certified sleep consultants. We're a family in Toronto who lived through 4 months of broken nights, tried three different methods, and finally found one that worked. Our baby went from waking up six times a night to sleeping 11 hours straight, in seven nights.
We wrote the Sleep Starter Guide because the books we read were either too theoretical, too vague, or too rigid. We wanted a method that was:
- · Specific enough to follow at 3am when you're exhausted and can't think
- · Honest about the fact that there will be crying, and what to do about it
- · Adaptable to real life, not "perfect conditions in a textbook"
- · Built around the principle that your baby is learning a skill, not being abandoned
The Baby Notte Method is what we built. The Sleep Starter Guide is that method on paper.
What you get in the Sleep Starter Guide.
- 01
The complete Baby Notte Method, step by step (Chapter 4)
This is the structured check-in approach we used, with the exact time intervals for every night of the first two weeks. You'll know what to do at 3am, even when you're too tired to think.
- 02
The 5-step bedtime routine we still use today (Chapter 3)
Our exact bedtime routine sequence we use every night. The routine alone has helped more families than they expect.
- 03
A week-by-week implementation plan (Chapter 5)
Day 1 through Day 14. What to expect each night, what's normal, what's not, when to call your pediatrician. The plan that turns "we should try this" into "we did this."
- 04
The sleep environment checklist (Chapter 2)
Room temperature, light levels, white noise volume, what the crib should and shouldn't have, what to wear (by season and TOG rating). The dozen small things that have to be right before the method can work.
- 05
The science behind baby sleep, in plain language (Chapter 1)
Sleep cycles, sleep associations, biological readiness. Why your baby wakes up six times a night and why it's not your fault. Confidence that the method works because you understand WHY it works.
- 06
A printable sleep tracker (in the guide)
Bedtime, wake time, night wakings, settling time. The log that lets you see the progress in writing instead of relying on your sleep-deprived memory. The single most motivating tool in the guide.
- 07
Pre-implementation checklist
The 7-question audit you do BEFORE starting the method. Most families fail at sleep training because they skip this. We won't let you.
30 pages. Instant PDF. Read it in one nap. Implement it the same night.
What sleep help actually costs.
We looked. Here's the real range:
- A one-hour call with a certified pediatric sleep consultant $150 to $350
- A custom written sleep plan from a consultant $200 to $500
- A sleep training course from a major brand $179 to $369
- A weekend at a "sleep training retreat" $1,500+
- Three more weeks of broken sleep while you figure it out alone incalculable
We priced the Sleep Starter Guide at $27 because the method genuinely costs us nothing to share with you, and because the parents who need this most are the ones who can't drop $300 on a consultant call this week.

Who this is for.
- Your baby is 4 to 12 months old and waking up multiple times a night
- You're a first-time parent and you have no idea what "sleep training" actually involves
- You've tried sleep training before, but it didn't work, and you suspect it was the method, not your baby
- You've read 100 conflicting articles and you want one clear plan
- You want to do this in a way that respects your baby AND respects you
Who this is not for.
- Your baby is under 4 months old (the method requires biological readiness that babies don't have before 16 weeks)
- You're looking for a "cry it out, no check-ins, just close the door" method. That is not what we do.
- You currently bedshare and intend to keep bedsharing. Our method assumes baby sleeping in their own crib on a safe sleep surface. AAP/CPS-aligned.
- You want a guarantee that your baby will not cry. No real sleep training method can promise that. We don't, and we're honest about it.
Risk reversal
The 7-night, 7-day deal.
Follow the method exactly for 7 nights.
If you don't see meaningful progress, if your baby isn't sleeping longer stretches, if the method just doesn't fit your family, email us within 7 days of purchase. Write "refund please" in the subject line. We will refund you in full within 3 business days. No forms. No survey. No follow-up email trying to talk you out of it.
We can offer this because we've used the method ourselves and we know the typical outcome by Night 7. We're betting on the method, not on customers being too tired to request the refund.
After you buy the Starter, here's what's available.
The Sleep Starter Guide is a complete method on its own. But here's something most parents learn the hard way: nighttime sleep doesn't exist in isolation. The way your baby naps during the day, and the timing of their feeds, directly affect how well the bedtime method works. A baby on the wrong nap schedule, or with feeds timed poorly, will fight the method that would otherwise have worked perfectly.
And every baby hits sleep regressions. The 4-month is the big one, but the 8-month, 12-month, and 18-month regressions are real and they will undo your progress if you don't know how to handle them. Most families who lose their sleep training results lose them to a regression they didn't prepare for.
That's what's in the Complete Sleep System. The Starter plus everything that makes the method sustainable beyond the first two weeks.
The Complete System adds:
-
Nap and feeding schedules for every age band (Chapter 6)
The schedules that protect your nighttime work, with exact wake windows and feed timing. Without these, the bedtime method works at maybe 70% of its potential. With them, it works at 100%.
-
The full Sleep Regression Survival Guide (Chapter 7)
Every regression from 4 months to 2 years, what causes it, how to ride it out without losing your progress.
-
Toddler sleep (Chapter 8)
What changes when your baby becomes a toddler, and how the method evolves.
-
Special Situations (Chapter 9)
Multiples, reflux, breastfeeding, daycare babies, travel, time zones, post-cosleeping transitions, shift-working parents.
-
The full Baby Notte Toolkit (Chapter 10)
Printable sleep tracker, bedtime routine checklist, wake window quick-reference card, regression cheat sheet, partner alignment guide, sleep environment audit.
You'll see the upgrade offer on the next page, after you complete your Starter purchase. The upgrade is $20 (less than what you just spent on the Starter), so you can decide at that point whether it's worth it. Or just buy the Starter and stop there. Both are fine.
A few questions we get.
Will my baby cry?
Yes, probably. Our method is honest about that. We do not promise no tears, because no real method can. What we do is show you how to be present and structured while your baby learns a new skill, so the crying has purpose and a clear end point. By Night 7, most families report crying time at bedtime under 5 minutes.
How fast does it work?
Most families see improvement by Night 3. Full consolidation usually happens between Night 7 and Night 14. If you're not seeing improvement by Night 7, we cover troubleshooting in Chapter 5 and you can email us.
Is this just Ferber?
Our method is in the same family as the Ferber approach (structured check-ins with progressive intervals), with additions specific to what worked for our family. We use a Settling Time concept, age-banded check-in schedules, and a bedtime routine that we walk through minute by minute. If you read Ferber and felt like the rigidity was off-putting, you will probably like ours better.
Is this medical advice?
No. This is parenting experience, written down. Always consult your pediatrician before making changes to your baby's sleep routine, especially around night feeds.
What if my baby has reflux, is breastfed, has a difficult temperament, or any other situation?
The Starter Guide covers the core method. If you have a situation that needs more specific guidance (reflux, multiples, breastfeeding-specific timing, etc.), the Complete System upgrade covers that in Chapter 9. Or just email us. We read everything.
Your baby can learn to sleep. Tonight is a good night to start.
